Am I The Only Knicks Fan That Doesn’t Want Lbj23?

I mean do not get me wrong I think he is the best player in the NBA and any franchise who has him is a lucky one. Nonetheless, as a Knicks fan since 94′ I have seen quality teams and down right awful teams in my fan-hoodd.
It seems when the Knicks were playing it’s best basketball it was when they had a team of really good players built around a larger than life superstar in Patrick Ewing. He was the only ledgit star on the team and that resulted in 50-60 win seasons, great playoff memories, and nearly getting 2 rings out of it.
That is why I do not really feel a need for LBJ23. Yes, he is the best the NBA has to offer now, but I would rather prefer us doing what we did back in the 90’s and building the team around a low post threat as our sole superstar and I say Knicks should put their time and effort in tryting to get Bosh rather than LeBron James.
Then keep David Lee, Wilson Chandler, Al Harrington, and Danilo Gallinari as the core they can be possible All-stars in the near future and also keep Chris Duhon and maybe add a Michael Redd type. All these guys can be a reliable supporting cast. They can be the Charlie Ward’s, Allan Houston’s, Larry Johnson’s, Charles Oakley’s, John Starks’s, etc.
Get players that work well within this system yet are capable of playing defense even though Mike D’s system in place does not really call for it. Just like how in the 90’s the Knicks stocked up on reliable offensive players even though Riley/Van Gundy’s system in place called for more of a defensive identity. I mean the systems are totally different, but the way the teams should be formed should be the same.
That means not signing players like our incompitent management did before, like giving Jerome James a 5 year contract, Jared Jeffries 6 years, and Malik Rose a multi-year contract. Now that Walsh is here he is no Isiah or Layden, so the mistakes of the past shouldn’t be repeated and King James or and abundant amount of stars is unneccessary in winning. A team could win with good supporting players and a team concept. I mean yes the 90’s Knicks ultimately lost to the Bulls time and time again. A team that had a larger than life superstar, but that is the exception there will never be another player that includes LBJ23 and whoever that would dominate the game, like MJ did, so getting LBJ23 or stocking up a team full of stars essentialy proves nothing.

(we have just won a soccer championship – and Hannah is the characters ex-girlfriend and best friend of Lexi – their background story and the game is already explained in the book)
Finally the ref blows the full time whistle; victory. The crowd erupts, deafening chants of ‘champions’ ring around the stadium. The team celebrate, jumping and running around like lunatics, the rest of the squad run onto the pitch along with the coaches and management team. I drop to my knees overcome with emotion. This is the single greatest moment in my life. Tears of joy pour from my eyes, looking up to the heavens I thank Smiggy for helping me. Some of the team run over to me screaming with joy, hugging me, this is so surreal, the media pour onto the pitch, I am shaking from the adrenaline, I am so happy words cannot describe the feeling I have right now. This is better than any drug. One of the national sports programs comes over to me to ask me some questions, I am so euphoric though, I don’t make any sense, I am just jabbering nothing, the fans have started to pour onto the pitch to celebrate with us, I see the group and Hannah running towards me, turning back to the camera out of nowhere Lexi jumps on me wrapping herself around my body, planting her lips on me on national TV, she is so exultant for me. Her lips on mine are the icing on the cake for what is the most perfect moment of happiness in my life.
Releasing her lips she just repeatedly keeps kissing me in between her words
“I…knew…you…could…do…it…I…am…so…happ…
She plants her lips on me again, the love around us is as big as the euphoria surrounding me right now.
Finally she releases herself from me, more media are surrounding me, they have all been filming and reporting on us kissing. Looking around I see the group stunned at what they have just seen. Hannah is also there staring right at us, the group finally come over hugging me and congratulating me, Lexi and I are left looking at Hannah, she looks straight faced at us, breaking the silence between us I say
“Hannah, we are so sorry…”
She cuts me off
“Its fine, I’m happy for you both. Ive known you two have liked each other for ages”
Lexi adds
“We didn’t mean for it, but we are in…”
Again Hannah cuts her off
“I know your hearts belong to each other, I am happy for you guys honestly.”

Are There Any Benefits Gained By Increaing Testing Resources For A Development Project?

I’m on a project where it seems that senior management has pushed difficult decision making down the organization. One of the things we are goind is trying to decide if adding more resources to our testing effort would indeed help the overal delivery date of the project or if this would only succeed to create much unwanted overhead and really not resulting much of an improvement on the date of the delivery.
I’d like to know if ‘throwing’ bodies at a testin effort really has an added value or if it just causes more of a quality issue.

such class and quality also have also have a fan base that is so closeminded and obnoxious? i know it’s natural to like ourselves but they have to have a good look at their behavior and what they express. many of them need to venture off the east coast for awhile just to air out, stress get get to the best of us. the aynkees are an excellent team with excellent management, it not the team that the large volume of people dislike, it’s their fan base and all the attention paid to them by the media. that is what make you pull against them. i would hate to be them.

My friend just called me. She told me her boyfriend of 5 years (and she has 2 children with him) choke slammed her onto her bed. She said her neck really hurts and shes coughing up blood. She was crying and said she was scared to go home (she left her house right after this happened). I told her to call the cops because this is not the first time it has happened to her before (once two years ago). She said she was playing PlayStation with her daughter and he wanted to play so he turned it off. She then put her daughters game back in and told him that it was rude to turn it off on them. He got mad and they got in an argument. I don’t know all of the details but she said she threatened him and he then grabbed her by the neck and threw her into the bed, with great force. She called her brother to come get her kids and she went for a walk and called me. Last time it happened 2 years ago, he went into a program called PARS, its relationship counseling, sort of like anger management, for men. He was not charged and she allowed him to move back into the residence after 6 months. Now obviously this has done nothing for him. I told her to call the police but she wont because of what she went through the last time with childrens aid and the court system. I completely understand because my ex and I are going through the same thing right now with assault charges. But as her friend I want to protect her from letting this happen again. But if I called the police on her behave, she might be angry at me. Now I dont really care about that if it means her safety. But it will ruin a 10 year friendship and cause her a lot of grieve she is not ready to to through. What should I do? Call the police and let her hate me? Or back off and let her do what she wants, because apparently she doesnt want help (she says she does, but she isnt willing to do anything about it). She is afraid if being alone and raising two kids. But I am doing it. I’ve tried to tell her it isnt that bad. If I call he will be arrested and charged because it is his second offense….what would you do as a friend? What should I do….

– I think what he’s doing is bad for the game. I’ve talked to several players and GMs and everybody just wishes he would go away. He’s going about it all wrong, and has been going about it all wrong for several years.

– I laugh at that suggestion. I represent several players currently, and very few of them have any desire to play for a Canadian team, despite the players being Canadian. On Hamilton as an NHL city
– I don’t think it would fly. I’ve got friends and family in the area and the ones I’ve talked to have no interest in switching allegiances. Look at New York………..you still have trouble finding Islanders and Devils fans…and that area is three times as big as the GTA. I’m not even convinced that a 2nd team in Toronto would survive. The Leafs draw well and are a licensing machine, but Canadian corporate culture isn’t big on supporting professional sports
On the Phoenix situation
– I think Jerry Moyes needs new lawyers. I think he has been given bad advice all the way through this. I’m not saying that Phoenix is the best place for an NHL team, but the players love playing there and it’s a great city. There have been numerous times where a team has fallen by the wayside and come through it in flying colours. I remember when the Red Wings were moving to Dallas. I remember when the Blues were moving to Saskatoon. I remember when the Penguins went bankrupt in the 70s and and the 90s. In all 4 cases, the teams were on their way out of their respective cities but ownership/management changes turned the situation around. The Blues have the most consecutive years of turning a profit right now. The Red Wings haven’t missed the playoffs in almost two decades. The Penguins have made it to two consecutive Stanley Cup finals. The right people can get it done in Phoenix.
NHL Expansion
– I think it’s inevitable. I could use a few more clients, and the clients I have could use more choices. The NHL is at an all-time high in popularity right now and there are several cities that want it. I read how the lockout destroyed the NHL but I see no proof. Unlike baseball which took several years to reach the pre-strike attendance levels, we set a new attendance record the first year back. We set a revenue record the first year back. We have more profitable teams than any other professional sport in the world aside from the NFL. Our American media coverage is higher than ever.
On being an NHL GM
– Never say never but it’s not for me. I enjoy what I do now, and I see myself continuing

– I agree with him 100%. People need to realize that it’s a business and that it’s not personal. Phil has a mind and has always been free to speak it, and sometimes he needs to be heard.

Many people in small businesses do not hav e job descriptions. Their
performance is often only reviewed when customers complain or something goes
wrong, eg an accident occurs or a product does not meet quality guidelines. Can you
see any problems with this approach to performance appraisals?
