Hi guys.. I want to know if the DRM does effectively prevent software piracy? If it does then, that’s the only solution for PC games to avoid damage sales from piracy..
DRM’s have never and will never be successful. In music it is a complete failure, and does absolutely nothing to stop piracy. In movies it works ok, but for people who are going to copy them, they do it anyway. For software and games, DRM’s are different then for the others, and while it works somewhat, it is a losing battle for the industries.
Windows Vista is practically built on DRM’s, people just have not noticed it yet.

Well, you can download games all over the place, so I’m gonna say no…
What kind of a question is this?
