Can You Play Origional Xbox Games On Xbox Live When Your Playing On A Xbox360?

i tried playing halo 2 on xbox live yesterday, i just created the account and i got xbox live, but when i tred playing halo 2, it started the game and it told me to pick my user, then pick my xbox live account, then when i click that and type in my password it says i have a important message from xbox live and it says “go to account management” or “continue offline” but when i go to messages i dont have anything…any help here please?

This exact same thing happend to me. go to Xbox.com and type it in, in the trubble shooting thing. It has somthing to do with ur account not allowing u to play Xbox 1 games on like.
Its a setting… Look for it in the System Tab
My friend had this same problem all you need to do is update it a bunch of times and then download all the differnt maps that there are, that takes like an hour or an hour and a half, then you can play, you just play on the maps you downloaded, look for my friend when playing, his screen name is dadewey his fun to play games with cause he isnt the best at them and is easy lol just kidding hes not bad
wow that is bad and i think it does work. there might be something wrong with your internet or something
Yea Its Annoying Same Problem Happened To Me But There’s Certain Updates That Come Out Every Lets Say 2-3 Months That Lets You Play The Original XBox Games On The 360 =]
