How Could I Check The Power Management Settings On The Monitor?

My monitor shows a message ” signal cable disconnected” and somebody told me about checking the power management settings on the monitor because it could be possible somebody have turned them off. But I dont know how could I do that.

Do you really mean, “When the computer is in standy” because when the computer is in standby, it turns off the video signals, and the monitor then tells you it thinks the signal cable is disconnected.
On your desktop, right click and select properties.
Go to screensaver and you’ll find it there.
On vista, right click your desktop and select display
Go to screensaver and find it there.
Your monitor may have a menu button. Press this button to access your monitor’s settings.
